Safari Birthday Party Part 9: Decorations

Last girlie safari birthday party post. phew.  One of my absolute favorite party decorations is a canopy of lights. I love the magical feeling that it gives.

I dressed up the regular Christmas lights for the canopy with green leaves and safari style lanterns.  I also had the vines hanging throughout as well.

I fell in love with the DIY African Palm Tree from Canvas and Canopy and knew I wanted to incorporate some into my safari party.  The branches I used were both so different. I love the crocked one in combination with the shorter straight one. They really added something different to the party.

Finally, the birthday banner. I finished it so fast. That is probably due to the fact that I had already made it for the Butterfly Tea Party but didn't have time to set it up.  Switch out the ribbon for some leopard spotted ribbon and BAM, done.  When I first made the banner, I took pages of an old book and folded them accordion style then folded them in half hot-dog style. I then glued three together and stuck a circle of tulle followed by a paper circle and then the letter.
