While browsing Pinterest a few days ago, I saw an ingenious little idea by Saucy's Sprinkles of putting a chocolate chip into the center of a raspberry. I had some raspberries on hand so I tried it out. It was of course yummy but I felt like the chocolate chip was too hard in comparison with the gentle raspberry. Well today I was making up a batch of cake pops using milk chocolate instead of bark and I had some leftover chocolate. I started dipping some berries in the chocolate. I did a few of those but then the chocolate was getting too shallow to continue dipping.
I scooped out the rest of the chocolate and put it into a plastic bag and snipped off the edge. Then I just filled the centers with the chocolate.
It was so easy and so fast. The result is slightly different from dipped berries because you get a chunk of chocolate in the center instead of a thin coating on the outside of the berry but it is smoother and softer than a regular chocolate chip. Definitely easy and delicious!

Oh my gosh this sounds amazing! I think I might try this with Nutella instead of the chocolate filling. Thanks for posting this!

ReplyDeleteThis is so easy and simple and looks so tasty, it's almost unfair......... worst part is, raspberries aren't in season here in denmark at the moment, so it's actually kind of expensive...
but I do love this idea, and will definitley try during summer, and I also love the idea of using nutella as the filling :D :D :D
Love this idea! You could fill them with ganache to keep that creamy texture! Jumped here from Todays Creative Blog.
