Mod Podged Shoes

Almost all of my daughters shoes are destroyed at the toes.  Is it the way she runs? I know not.

Well I tried to give a second life to this pair with a tutorial by Make It and Love It . It was harder than I thought to get the Mod Podge to adhere to the shoes.  I found that putting a coat of the Mod Podge on and then moving to another part of the shoe while the first coat partially dried and then moving back for the second coat.  After the second coat is when I made sure that the fabric really stayed down. I cut along the edges where the mod podge overlapped the sole with an exacto knife.  I wanted to keep the elastic on it but I added a bow to fancy them up. I know they won't last for long but at least they look better than they used to!
