Dessert of the Month Club

So I know this is a little late and that Mother's Day happened like 2 months ago but I never took pictures of this before I gave it to my Mom.  When I was over at her house today I saw it and thought that maybe it would be an inspiration to someone, somewhere for something or another.  It is a super fun gift that keeps on giving throughout the whole year! For Mother's Day my mom became the first ever recipient of my Dessert Of The Month Club.  On Mother's Day I gave her the first dessert which was Oreo truffles along with the book telling her what desserts she had coming her way.  It has been exciting to come over with the gift each month so far and I am looking forward to months to come.  Wondering what each month will be?

 May-  Oreo Truffles
June- Lemon Pound Cake
July- Homemade Ice Cream
August- Chocolate Covered Berries
September- Chocolate Birthday Cake (My Mom's Birthday Month)
October- Candy Covered Chocolate Caramel Apples
November- Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies
December- Chocolate Mousse
January- Mystery Dessert (Mom doesn't know what it will be until it is delivered)
February- Creme Brulee
March- Chocolate Trifle
April- Mystery Dessert

So you will notice there are a lot of chocolate things, that is because my dear mother loves chocolate.  I did a little checking around, asking my Dad what her favorite desserts were and subtlety asking her months before what her favorite desserts were.  You could definitely tailor the dessert selections to the person receiving the gift.

I made the book using the matchbook cutting file on the Silhouette and I tied it with some homemade bakers twine.  It was sealed with some washi tape as well but that was broken when she opened it.   Can't wait to get started on next month...Homemade Ice Cream! Any recipe suggestions for me?
