Bake Sale
At the beginning of the summer, my daughters asked if we could do a bake sale. With school rapidly approaching we were running out of time. Finally we pulled it together last minute (for me). They made signs for the bake sale the day before and I spent the afternoon baking. We had chocolate and vanilla cupcakes, pumpkin spice donuts, chocolate Oreo truffles, and punch. Our best sellers were the Oreo truffles and the punch.
My daughters were so excited to do the bake sale and so was I. Finally we got everything out and set up. After about 1 hour they were done. Huh? Wait, What? I remember loving doing lemonade stands and staying out all afternoon selling as much as I could! They were more concerned with eating the treats themselves and playing with their friends that came to the sale. My oldest is definitely not a salesperson. When others were trying to flag down cars, she would tell them "don't force people to come" and then she just wanted to give away the treats. Oh Well. At least we did it. Not too excited to do it again though. Maybe when they are older!
